Live Safe / Viva Securo
ConnectFamilias' (CF) project Live Safe/Viva Securo builds on existing crime prevention efforts in the Little Havana community in collaboration with City of Miami Net Office, City of Miami Police Department, Miami-Dade Community College, service provider network and resident leaders. ConnectFamilias partners understand that addressing the risk of criminal activity is an essential component in enhancing the safety and well-being of children, youth, and families in Little Havana.
Live Safe/Viva Seguro is funded by The State Attorney's Denise Moon Memorial Fund, a donor-advised fund at Dade Community Foundation. Established in 2009 by the State Attorney's Office for the 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida in Miami-Dade County, the Fund was created in memory and honor of Denise M. Moon, who died in 2004 after working three decades as a pioneering leader and advocate for victim services in Greater Miami-Dade County.
