Promotores de Salud take on Oral Health Literacy

ConnectFamilias was honored to be one of 16 organizations selected nation-wide by KDH Research & Communication to evaluate an innovative training program about dental health. Building upon our successful Natural Helper and Community Health Worker model, we trained our staff and local community members to conduct oral health outreach in Hispanic neighborhoods..

Let Your Voice Be Heard

ConnectFamilias, in partnership with the Florida Department of Health, is making sure our communities and voices are heard. This survey is critical by informing FDH of the needs, opinions, and views of Miami-Dade County residents to drive resources into our communities and to better plan for the future. Together, we can build communities and co-design solutions with this feedback. It is important that all families are represented and given the best quality of life in each of their neighborhoods!

Congrats to our Education Advocacy Grads!

We could not be more proud of our parent leaders who participated in P.S.305's education advocacy leadership training.  Parents learned how to be involved and advocate for great schools and engage fully in their children's education.

Partners Establish
Resiliency Work group

As a result of our Partnership Meeting on June 15th, we have created the CF Resiliency Work Group to develop a coordinated plan to address community needs with our partners. While we continue to hope for the best, we will be ready should a storm hit. To learn more or join us in these efforts, please contact Massiel Leiva.
